Meet the Simon's. That little fuzzy guy in the middle is Rocky, he's obviously the favorite child. Some people are just refreshingly fun to be around. If you're lucky you get a whole family full of them.

....nextdoor. Gosh, let me finish! We're having a baby nextdoor, and we can't wait! A few months ago we all went out to take a few baby announcement pictures for Meghann and Emy. Meghann had so many cute ideas, and wanted to suprise her family by showing them the session. It was so hard to keep a secret! Since our front doors are only a few feet away, its going to be so fun to have a brand new little one as a neighbor. Hurry up little baby, and tell me your gender so I can start buying you cute crap!

So it can be a little difficult to photograph children at times. I'm not saying I don't enjoy it, because I really do, but depending on the children it can be a little tricky. If they are too young you just spend most of the time running around trying to get lucky when they look up at the camera, usually on accident. Kids don't care, you can't expect them to.
EXCEPTION: These 3 children below.
I had so much fun! Especially the little girls, they just loved every minute of it. They had all these little poses ready to go, little natural born models. I also loved how Cindy chose to dress them. They actually look like kids, not miniature adults with 15 too many accessories. They just look so sweet and innocent, just how you should want to remember your little ones. Thanks Cindy and Garret for letting me hang out with your kids!

This is one of our favorite recipes in the Hernandez house. Being the "fake" mexican that I am, I renamed this recipe "White Girl Salsa." Normally I am all about the spicy, and feel that all salsa needs to be spicy or its not real salsa. Burn my tongue please, or go away. This is the exception. We sometimes eat this as an entire meal. If you like veggies and are looking for a nice healthy snack, or dinner in our case, you gotta give this one a try. Here's a step by step on how to make it. (tip- I ALWAYS add extra veggies, you can customize to fir your taste buds.)

Mari & Joshua are the sweetest couple, and I had such a good time hainging out with them. I loved everything about Mari's wedding decor, the colors, attention to detail, the whole feel of it was just down my ally of perfect. Their venue for their reception was at this little downtown cafe in Visalia called The Lunchbox. Its a cafe with a lot of history, and it was so fitting for the pair of them. Next time you're in Visalia head downtown and give it a try.
